After studies of styling at the school of the " Employers' federation of Couture Parisienne ", she discovers the designer embroidery which will give her most creative possibilities. It is in the biggest embroidery workshops such as: Lesage, Vermont, Montex, that she acquires a robust work experience made obligatorily and of requirement.
In 1998, she chooses to fend for herself to give free rein to her talent and to the generous orientation which livens up her: exercise her art but also pass on its know-how.
"For me, the tradition has sense only if it is accompanied by the passion of the craftsmen who pass on it ". Very fast the techniques of traditional embroidery are not any more enough. The bobbin lace, the macramé, the hook, the knitting will allow a bigger variety in the creation.
School of embroidery
Since 1998, Claire Liotta livens up training courses of traditional embroidery in his workshop. A public very diversified by any ages and by any horizons comes to follow his teaching. In 2004, she opens the school to the students avid to acquire a complete formation of the techniques which she uses. Here the embroidery is a receptacle opened to the creativity. Three years of study will be necessary.
First year the students learn the traditional techniques of embroidery and the Lunéville for beads and sequins in haute couture embroidery but also, and the passementerie. During the year, they realize samples and works which allow them to divert these techniques of their first use.
2 periods of internship of 3 weeks each are obligatory
Second year, the students learn how to use the embroidery machine Cornely. It is very used in haute couture embroidery. This year is obligatory if you want access of the year of BMA
2 periods of internship of 3 weeks each are obligatory.
Third year. This year is the year of BMA art of embroidery. The student will have to make a project throughout the year. This project will require a lot of research both graphically and in terms of embroidery techniques. It will also show all the management from specifications to the final bill. That year, students are not required to do internships. The 12 mandatory weeks have been done in the first 2 years.
